Technophobia is fear of technology.
It appears that mainly high age or a less-experienced learners.
It has caused learners can't follow the new technology.
They have no time to study the new technology as they are so busy.
Learners accept positively new technology and without searching too much, they should learn a little.
Learners should develop a learning habit from appropriate level of their ability.
While using technology to learners should be allowed to make mistakes.
2. What are the basic skills and equipment that instructors need in order to start using technolgy in their instruction?
-Instructors need a personal computer.
Laser pointer is also necessary.
Pen-sized laser designed to be held in the hand, and most commonly used to project a point of light to highlight items of interest during a presentation.
-The knowledge and experience of teachers about the latest information.
Teachers need having explanation and feedback skills depending on the level of students.
They are too busy do not have time to learn, how to develop a learning habit do?
ReplyDeleteI agree...Learners, especially technophobes(maybe older learners) should be taught that making mistakes is alright. It is also important that technology should match the learners abilities. If the learner is supposed to use technology that is too advanced for the knowledge, they will be more afraid to use it. Dong-gu mentioned that working slowly with technology is the best way to go. I agree with that.
